Introduction
Royal Enfield is a popular choice for motorcycle bikers as well as bike modifiers. A number of start-up companies have opened up across the country that specializes in customizing Royal Enfield. One such bike modification house is Delhi-based Neev Motorcycle, which has developed a custom bike for the interceptor 650 and is named Tamraj. The Royal Enfield interceptor 650 is currently the cheapest 2-cylinder bike you can buy in India.
Tamraj has been given a completely new paint scheme. It also
uses hand-made body parts as well as aftermarket accessories. Which gives this
bike a bold and luxurious bobber look.
Features of
the Interceptor 650 (Tamraj)
Some of Tamraj’s custom-made body parts include a tank top
cover, Small fenders, font suspension cover, belly pan and leather seats. At the
front, the original headlight has been replaced with a slimmer circular LED
headlight set-up. The handle-bar is an aftermarket unit and the front
suspension forks are provided with customized covers with fork garter.
The rear-subframe has been shortened and modified to include
a single seat. Apart from this, the rear-fender is almost non-existent and has
a mini circular sharp LED tail lights.
Design of the Tamraj
Apart form all this, the most significant update to this modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is its wide 5-inch(127 mm) tube-type tire mounted on 16-inch(406.4 mm) spoke wheels. In addition, Tamraj has a custom free-flow exhaust system. This motorcycle is completely pained in black, but it has a chrome header pipe which would have produced contrast. The twin-pod instrument panel found on the bike has also been completely removed.
Engine and power of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
There has been no change in the engine of this motorcycle. It
gets a 648cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that generates the power of 47 ps
and torque of 52 Nm. This engine gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Talking about the price of this modified motorcycle, Neev
motorcycles takes 1.90 lakhs rupees to
convert an Interceptor 650 motorcycle to Tamraj. While the process of modifying
the Interceptor 650 to make Tamraj takes about 2 to 3 months.
