Hero Motorcorp (Hero MotoCorp), the country's largest wheel-manufacturer, has launched its much-awaited motorcycle Hero Xtreme 160R in the Indian market. This bike is inspired by the bold 1.R concept shown at EICMA 2019. The Hero bike was to be launched in early 2020, but its launch was delayed due to the outbreak of the epidemic. The new Hero Xtreme 160R has several segment-first features. That is, these features are being given for the first time in a bike in this segment. It gets many features like H-signature LED taillamps, integrated pillion grab rails, hazard lights, LED DRLs, LED headlamps, LED side turn indicators, full-digital instrument cluster and side-stand-down engine cut-off function.
This new bike from Hero gets 37 mm telescopic forks in the front and 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension in the rear. The front of both variants has 276 mm disc brakes. While the dual disc variant has 220 mm disc brakes at the rear, while the single-disc variant has 130 mm drum brakes at the rear. This bike gets 17-inch wheels and the ground clearance of the bike are 165mm.

The Hero Xtreme 160R features a 160cc air-cooled engine with new BS6 fuel emission standards. This engine has XSens (X Sense) and advanced fuel-injection technology. This engine generates 15 bhp power at 8500 rpm and 14 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine gets a 5-speed gearbox. According to the company, this bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 4.7 seconds. The weight (curb weight) of this bike is 138.5 kg. The company claims that its bike has the best power to weight ratio in its segment.

India's first 'social distancing' scooter Gemopai Miso launched, no license permit required

This scooter has one seat for the driver only. Gemopai Miso uses detachable lithium-ion batteries of 48v and 1KW. This battery can do a distance of about 75 kilometers once fully charged. Since it will be a small scooter, it has a top speed of 25 kilometers per hour. The company claims that the scooter can be charged up to 90 percent in two hours.

Gem Rajpai Electric co-founder Amit Raj Singh said, "At a time when we are facing a crisis, business continuity is a challenge to us while remaining safe. In this era, it is a safe alternative to a scooter movement." Singh said that in the epidemic, a one-seat scooter offers a safe travel option. "

No license or permission from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) is required to drive this scooter. Gemopai Electric said in a statement that it has started booking the mini scooter. Its delivery will start from next month.
